Robert Morris Elementary's School Wide Positive Behavior Support

School Wide Positive Behavior Support (SWPBS) is designed to promote and recognize good behavior, cooperation, and strong discipline in our school. It is a simple program with mutual respect, consistent language, and expectations and recognition of good behavior as its foundation.

All faculty and staff have been trained by specialists to use consistent language and practices with children. In this way, our students can better understand behavioral expectations in school. Also, by having adults model and demonstrate appropriate behaviors and discuss the implications of behavior in school and in society, students can take what they have learned here in school and apply it to situations outside of school.

It is our hope that this program will continue to help our children be the best they can be, not only in school but outside of school as well. Like last year, we have several plans to recognize and reward positive behavior with special programs and incentives.
